Navratri 2014 : As we all knows these 9 days of Maa Durga are the most shubh days of the year, in these 9 days we all worshipped of Goddess Durga, Goddess Laxmi and Goddess Saraswati. This festival has celebrated in Sharad ritu. so it is also known as Shardiya Navratri, these 9 days of Navratri has been dedicated to 9 form of Goddess Shakti. Everyday of Navratri is dedicated to a different goddess.
First 3 days of navratri : the starting 3 days of navratri 2014 festival is dedicated to Goddess Durga and we should worship of Maa Durga during these 3 days. Durga Maa is the symbol of power she can destroy the earth in few minutes, Durga Maa assumes to be the most powerful goddess among all. The people place a mud pot a the pooja place and put some seeds inside it.
Middle 3 days of Navratri : the next three days of navratri is dedicated to Goddess Laxmi, in these three days people should worship of Mata Laxmi, who is the symbol of money, wealth and prosperity.
Last 3 days of navratri : The last three days of navratri is dedicated to Goddess goddess saraswati, who is the symbol of knowledge and education.
On the last days of navratri the Kanya Poojan take place, on this day we offered food and gift to nine young girls, these nine girls are assumed to be the nine forms of goddess Shakti. During the navratri festival celebration, People also plays the navratri special songs on the big stages and special navratri events.

Legends behind Navratri festival India
There are different assumptions about the legend of navratri festival in different part of India. In North India it is believed the demon Mahishasura get lots of power from Lord Shiva by worshipped them and in the drunk of power he attacked on heaven and start terrorism on earth, the scared god of Heaven went to Lord Shiva and ask for the solution, The lord Shiva and other gods create a female divine maa durga by the combined power of all gods. Goddess Durga fought with Demon Mahishasura upto nine days and on 9th day killed him. So these days are celebrated for Maa dura winning on Mahishasura.
It is also assume that up to 9 days Lord Rama worshipped Maa Durga before killing the demon Ravana. so the Lord Rama are the second Legend of the navratri festival.
In east India Maa Uma, the daughter of King Daksh assumes the reason Of navratri festival celebration. It is believed in the 9 days of navratri Maa Uma comes on earth with Ganesh, Laxmi, Kartikeya and Saraswati.
